Biography:
Franz Trautinger is professor of dermatology and chairman of the Department of Dermatology and Venereology at the Karl Landsteiner University of Health Sciences and founder and head of the Karl Landsteiner Institute of Dermatological Research, both in St. Pölten, Austria. He is specialist, researcher, and university teacher in dermatology, venerology and allergology. His scientific interests concern clinical and experimental dermatology with a special emphasis on photodermatology, photoimmunology, and dermato-oncology. He is board member of numerous national and international scientific societies, deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the German Society of Dermatology, chair of the ownership board and associate editor to the journal Photochemical and Photobiological Sciences. He is chairman of the Committee of Scientific Integrity and Ethics of the Karl Landsteiner University of Health Sciences and member of the Ethical Committees of the Medical University of Vienna and of the State of Lower Austria.
